![]() WBIR News features a special agent with the FBI’s Knoxville Division calling Interstate 40 “a convenient corridor for sex traffickers.” According to a 2020 statistics report from the National Human Trafficking Hotline, North Carolina ranks 9th in the United States for human trafficking cases. Where are the numbers? Where are the cases? Where are the arrests and convictions? There is zero. Still, there is no real evidence of sex trafficking. We hear horror stories about Cherokee teenagers and young women being trafficked in our casino, often in the context of the drug trade that has been proven to exist and permeate our community. ![]() Rumors have been circulating for years that sex trafficking occurs at Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort. ![]()
